ACTUAL COST SHIPPING PROGRAM

This ACTUAL COST shipping program is only available to REPS in Tryon Trading’s ISP (International Sales Program). The Program is designed to provide ACTUAL COST for shipments when spread over a number of shipments.  Here is how the Program works.

For a FIRST shipment, we obtain a firm "AIR" quote from our forwarder or look up the UPS cost from our special UPS shipping prices. We use that cost as a FIRST billing for freight under the program.

On Future quotes, we still display what we believe the freight will be for that shipment. That will enable REPS to estimate their total pricing including freight to their end customers.

We maintain a special separate file (by Rep) of the ACTUAL freight costs from each transaction. On future shipments we use the ACTUAL cost of the last shipment on the next shipment.  REPS do not have access to these internal files. The program is based on trust.  We are not staffed to handle preparing accounting records for each REP firm.

The rep is free to cancel the program at any time. When the program is canceled, future shipping costs are handled in the normal way (by us quoting and a rep agreeing to each transaction).

The resulting effect is that the cost for shipment (except for the first shipment) is the actual shipping cost staggered by one shipment.

There are some special situations that occur, and we handle them in a way that reflects the intent of the program. For example, after a small shipment with a low shipping cost we make a BIG air shipment at high cost. We usually obtain a firm shipping cost, get rep approval, and ship "outside" of the program. (so we do not show customs a low freight cost on a very large order). Another example might be that we make two shipments at the same time (not enough time to obtain the prior shipment cost). We handle this by using a "reasonable" freight price and log it into the special file; and then adjust a future shipment to "accumulated" actual cost on a next transaction.

This special program enables a rep firm to take advantage of our special UPS pricing as we must prepay these shipments in order to get our special discount.

Tryon Trading does not include any mark-up in its freight costs.  On each quote, we offer what we determine to be the freight/insurance/handling. The ACTUAL COSTS may vary if the freight weight estimated is incorrect. We stand by our quoted offers.  This Actual COST SHIPPING PROGRAM enables us to pass on only the actual costs spread over a number of shipments.
